We use our bodies to manipulate a physical object in order to make organized sounds. These sounds flow into our heads and we begin to feel. We can't always explain what we feel other than to say it is good or it is bad. What we feel is more than a mere chemical process. It is our souls being touched. What we feel in our souls elicits a response. Often times we dance. We don't know why music does this to us. It is the image of God imprinted on our souls. Music choices reflect what is going on in our souls. As we mature, our music changes: Party, bodies, sex, rage, wild, energy, foolishness, is replaced with calm, relax, sleep, love, moved to action, worship, beauty, self-control. Music reflects who we are externally, and reinforces who we are internally. The musician is one with their instrument. The instrument is an object of physical beauty.
